Behind the Designs

I’m Carina, a graphic designer whose experience spans fine art to theoretical analysis and graphic design.
While I often say “I make things pretty for a living” it’s far more than that. My work is rooted in research, storytelling, thoughtful design, functionality, and accessibility. I especially enjoy creating designs with layers of meaning — work that is seemingly simple at first, but reveals deeper thought and strategy behind every detail.
With experience across branding, layout design, web and app design, illustration, photography, and social media content creation, I’ve developed a versatile creative skill set through internships and co-op placements throughout my education. From my extensive education I have become driven and disciplined through my years at university and have learned a hands-on approach from my time at college.
I’m someone excited to tackle new challenges and to learn new things in every oppurtunity, and I hope to one day do the same as an in-house graphic designer.
